GEMS
was created to provide a means of enriching the life of the men of
Grace Church through fellowship, service, and outreach. Each year,
GEMS hosts a variety of charitable, educational and social
activities consistent with the mission of Grace Church.
Fellowship activities include:

Father/son football and baseball games

Hunting trips

Saturday breakfast lecture series during the winter months

Annual golf outing challenge

Installation dinner and roasts
Charitable outreach activities include:

Bi-annual Starfish Ball
-
Annual car wash
-
Volunteer opportunities with Hinsdale Community Service, Cathedral Shelter Pick Up, and Trinity Aurora Soup Kitchen

Fundraising support for St. Leonard’s House (providing comprehensive
residential, case management and employment services for those
recently released from prison), Hinsdale Community Service, the
Episcopal Diocese of Renk, Sudan, Lawrence Hall Youth Services
(supporting at-risk children in Chicago), Nuestra Senora de
Guadalupe Episcopal Diocese on 26th Street in Chicago,
and St. Gregory Episcopal School/Holy Family Ministries in western
Chicago.
All
men of the parish are members of GEMS and we welcome any new-comers
and volunteers seeking to get involved with our many initiatives and
programs. GEMS events are open to all men and women from Grace
Church as well as their guests
